BARBARA P. FARGOSTEIN ETHICS SCHOLARSHIP AWARD ($500)
Barbara Palley Fargotstein, Faculty Emerita, has been an active, contributing member and leader of the STTI Beta Upsilon Chapter. She was a founding officer and has held membership since 1976. Her passion and commitment to promoting ethical knowledge and professional nursing practice were evident throughout her work with undergraduate and graduate students.
This award was established in recognition of her contribution to Beta Upsilon Chapter upon her retirement from ASU. Please see attached document.
GARY BROWN COMMUNITY SERVICE SCHOLARSHIP AWARD ($1,000)
Gary Brown was an active, contributing member of the STTI Beta Upsilon Chapter, who was known for his excellence in community service. This award was established to recognize his outstanding service during his lifetime.
This scholarship is awarded to a Beta Upsilon Chapter member who demonstrates excellence in community service, helping individuals in needs. Please see attached document.
NANCY K. MELVIN RESEARCH SCHOLARSHIP AWARD ($1,000)
Dr. Nancy Melvin was an active and contributing member of the Beta Upsilon Chapter. She exemplified the goals and purposes of STTI and was an extraordinary nurse researcher. She had a passion for extending the knowledge base of nursing practice and was an enthusiastic research mentor for students and colleagues. This award honors her contribution to the chapter and profession.
This scholarship is awarded to a Beta Upsilon Chapter member who demonstrates excellence in research, contributing to the body of nursing research. Please see attached document.
